ABOUT US
On December 2, 2002, after servicing clients for more than five years from his home workshop, Ken Hite, of Ken Hite's Creative Art, acquired The Apex Gallery and expanded his business to Historic Downtown Apex. Visitors to The Apex Gallery are charmed by the turn-of-the-century storefront's brick facade which is nestled among the historic district's specialty shops, restaurants, and businesses.
The existing location of The Apex Gallery has recently undergone a "custom facelift." The wide array of frame moulding samples is an awesome sight in itself, but coupled with the newly custom-painted original pressed tin ceiling and wide tin crown moulding draws a "Wow!" from those who enter through the front door. The tall ceiling with its antique design is a historic treasure and a true conversation piece! The plaster walls of the gallery have been hand-painted in a wash of warm antique cream and taupe which compliment the off-white, taupe, and black colors of the ceiling "frame." A hand-painted "sky" mural graces the center of the ceiling and assures that every day is a sunny day at The Apex Gallery. With the addition of decorative and functional lighting, the gallery invites visitors to experience a "piece of Apex history" in an elegant and "comfortable" traditional environment. Ken hopes you will enjoy the updates and the extra care he will continue to give all of his valued customers.

The Gallery features 4' x 8' framed fabric panels, custom hand-painted in a "washed" technique to enhance the character of the fabric's design. Not only can these decorative panels be used solely for their pleasing aesthetic design, texture, and coloring, but they also can be used singularly as a "focal point" or "grouped" to achieve a desired pattern or interior "effect." An added benefit of these custom-framed fabric panels is that they act as an acoustical balance for interiors with high ceilings; non-carpeted, solid-surface floors; and high-traffic or public areas. These panels are "custom-designed" based upon function, theme, and color specifications determined by the client.
