Bethany has always loved art and being creative. She studied Art at UNC-Asheville, concentrating in soft pastels and figure drawing.

Since 2000 she has worked mainly in oil pastels because of their versatility and texture. Oil pastels can be combined with soft pastel and watercolor to create different effects. She also paints in acrylic with vibrant color, creating texture using palette knives.

Bethany's works reflect some favorite travel destinations: NC mountains & coast, local gardens, and Vermont. She loves to paint animals, especially cows, goats, and chickens. Her originals and prints are available in our store in Downtown Apex. She also is available for commissions.
