KAREN PEARSON

HOLLY SPRINGS, NC

A native of St. Louis, Karen has lived in the Cary area since 1991.  After a career in local real estate, she now enjoys her passion...painting!  She loves painting colorful landscapes and figures/portraits. 

Karen's style is loose and impressionistic. Landscape themes include the North Carolina coast/beaches and Italy, vacation spots she finds profoundly beautiful. She also loves capturing people as they enjoy life... so often figures are featured in her paintings. 

Her studies include sessions with artist Catherine C. Martin and workshops with renowned artists John Poon and Peggi Kroll Roberts, all of which have tremendously helped develop her style. Karen's work has been included in area juried shows and featured in a one person show locally.
